Chelsea Man City, Maurizio Sarri, has revealed why he dropped striker, Alvaro Morata in his side’s Premier League 2-0 victory over Manchester City on Saturday.
Sarri, who started Eden Hazard, Willian and Pedro ahead of Morata stated that his decision not to include the Spain international in chelsea man City clash line-up was ‘tactical’.
When asked why Morata did not feature in chelsea man City clash, Sarri told BT Sport: “It’s tactical because with the side to start with Eden in another position so I think it’s useless to have two strikers on the bench.”
“I don’t know because in Manchester City maybe because they have out [Sergio] Aguero,” Sarri added.
“Today maybe for the first time in Premier league there is the opportunity to have more spaces. I prefer to play faster football.”
Chelsea is now at third positions on the Premier League log with 34 points from 16 games
