Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager, has singled out midfielder, Phil Foden for praise following his side’s 2-1 win on Wednesday in the Champions League.
Two goals from forward, Leroy Sane handed Guardiola’s men a whooping three points at the Etihad.
Guardiola has taken into account that Foden performed impressively against Hoffenheim, adding that the 18-year-old can do everything in terms of mentality.
“Incredible, incredible,” He said of Foden’s performance on BT Sport. “We don’t have any doubts about his quality. He’s very difficult to play against.
“He can do everything – in terms of mentality, he can score goals, he’s a fighter, he’s intelligent, his body shape, his control.”
Pep Guardiola added: “The squad is good and Foden has to compete with David Silva, with Kevin (De Bruyne), with Gundogan, but he’s an amazing player.
“He’s just 18 years old, so to be playing Champions League in a really important game with a lot of absentees…we didn’t have any doubts about him that he’s completely ready to play at the top level.”
