Manchester City qualify for Carabao Cup semi-finals

Manchester City are through to the last four of the Carabao Cup, after they defeated Leicester City via penalties on Tuesday night.

Pep Guardiola’s men took the lead in the first half, after Kevin De Bruyne was allowed space and time to shoot from outside the box.

However, the hosts fought back and equalized after the break, with Marc Albrighton slamming home.

There were no further goals and the tie had to be decided through spot kicks, where the Premier League champions came out on top.

In the other quarter-final clash played on the night, Burton Albion saw off Middlesbrough 1-0 at the Riverside.
