Wolverhampton Wanderers will aim to knock Liverpool out of the FA Cup for the second time in three seasons, when the sides meet at Molineux on Monday.
Wanderers were at Anfield in January 2017 to beat the Reds 2-1 on their home, but that has remained Wolves’ only win gainst Liverpool in their last five encounters.
The two clubs met in the Premier League at Molineux just two weeks ago, when Jurgen Klopp’s men ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have been boosted by the news that Diogo Jota is ready to return to the squad. Nuno Espirito Santo revealed in his press conference that the Portuguese forward joined up with the rest of the squad for Friday’s training session, following a hamstring injury.
The Wolves boss though will make late check on midfielder Romain Saiss, who went off with a knee issue in Wednesday’s home defeat to Crystal Palace, before naming his starting XI.
As for the visitors, Klopp is expected to make several changes to the side that lost 2-1 at Manchester City, to keep things fresh for the upcoming League and European fixtures.
Among those expected to start at Molineux are Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Naby Keita, Adam Lallana and Alberto Moreno, while Simon Mignolet is likely to replace Alisson between the posts.
