Chelsea ace, Eden Hazard bids Fabregas farewell ahead of exit from Stamford bridge.
HAZARD has confirmed Cesc Fabregas’ departure from Chelsea by bidding him a fond farewell.
Fabregas was given the captain’s armband for Chelsea’s FA Cup fixture against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
He almost capped off the performance with a goal from the penalty spot, but his effort was saved by Luke Steele
But it didn’t matter for the Blues as they ran out 2-0 winners, however it was Fabregas’ substitution that stole the headlines.
The Spaniard exited the field to a raucous reception from the Stamford Bridge crowd, pushing him to tears
The emotional scenes seemed to confirm his exit from the club, with Monaco expected to be his next destination.
And Hazard has now all-but confirmed Fabregas’ departure from Chelsea with his words after the game.
“In five years I can say that I was lucky to play with him,” Hazard said.
“Since the beginning when he came we won the double together
Top guy on the pitch and off the pitch.
“A great friend of mine.
“I just have admiration for this guy.
“I hope he will have a good future, it’s a bit hard now.
