Kalidou Koulibaly, Napoli defender on Wednesday told the club that he wants to join Premier league giants, Manchester United in this January transfer window.
According to Metro UK, Koulibaly met with Napoli’s board to make clear his wish to join United.
The report claimed that Napoli told the centre-back that they will not allow him to join the Red Devils this month.
The report also claimed that the Senegalese international could double his current £80,000-a-week wages when he moves to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed in December that Manchester United had tabled a huge offer for the 27-year-old, which was rejected by his club.
“Mourinho wanted him [Koulibaly], we rejected £95 million,” De Laurentiis said.
“But now it’s impossible that he leaves Napoli,” said De Laurentiis who claimed in December that United had seen a staggering £95million offer for Koulibaly rejected.”
