Laliga: Ramos delighted to replace CR7 as Madrid’s Penalty taker


Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, said he is delighted to replace former teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo as the club’s penalty taker.

Ramos took over spot-kick duties from the play-maker when he left the LaLiga giants on transfer to join Juventus.

The play-man who plays in defense position has already made 10 goals this season, his equal most in a campaign.

“I’ve taken on the role after Cristiano’s departure and I’m delighted to do so.

“It [the ‘Panenka’] is a way to take them, but I never want to offend a colleague,”Hetold Antena 3.

The team will be in big ties few weeks from now, including a Copa del Rey semi-final and LaLiga clash against Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
