Spurs ‘add Leicester star,James Maddison to summer transfer targets

James Maddison Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly added Leicester City star James Maddison to their list of summer transfer targets.

The Midfielder who joined Leicester from Norwich last summer may worth a £24m transfer fee.

So far, James Maddison has made five goals and four assists in 23 Premier League games appearances and seen his stock rise.

The Mirror reports that Spurs view the 22-year-old as a possible replacement for Christian Eriksen, who has long been linked with Real Madrid move.

England international, Maddison could be a valuable addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s due to his homegrown status.

Tottenham has eight spaces to fill for homegrown players in their Premier League squad but only have six first-team stars, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Harry Winks, Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose and Ben Davies qualified.

Meanwhile, Davies is not considered homegrown by UEFA’s rule as his formative years were spent in Wales rather than England so Spurs have even less room for manoeuvre in the Champions League.
