Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri during their Europa League clash on Thursday night devise a new strategy making six changes to avert a seeming defeat as 6-0 by Manchester City but retained Barkley in the starting XI who boosted Sarri’s faith with opening goal on the half hour mark.

Barkley poked home Pedro’s cross to ensure Chelsea held a lead at the break and Giroud doubled their advantage on 58 minutes.

Giroud converted Willian’s cross to goal with a clever flick but the Premier League side had to cling on at the end as the Swedish outfit pulled a goal back through Anders Christiansen 10 minutes to end of game.
