Iceland midfielder Emil Hallfredsson, is reportedly getting ready to return to former club Udinese on a free transfer until the end of the season.
Several Italian sources including Tuttomercatowe have reported Hallfredsson’s imminent return to Udinese, where he made 61 appearances during his first spell at the club.
The 34-year-old left the Zebrette last summer to join Frosinone but was released by the minnows in January because of a serious knee injury.
In an interview, the former Reggina and Verona player said the rehabilitation is ongoing and he is hoping to play again this season.
“In a month I can start training with a team,’ he said on February 18.
”And then maybe another two to four weeks after that I will be in shape to play.
”The rehabilitation is going well and everything is as it should be.’
