Newcastle United midfielder Scott Longstaff will be out of squad as the Magpies hosts Everton in their Premier League tie this weekend.
Scott Longstaff has been a key member of the team since he made his debut earlier this year but he is now out for the season suffering knee ligament injury.
The academy star, picked a knee injury last week against West Ham and will likely not feature in the next three months.
Rafa Benitez is also without centre-back Ciaran Clark due to a knee problem, while goalkeeper Rob Elliot is still struggling with a back issue.
However, the Magpies have lost five of the past six Premier League meetings between the pair, as well as successive defeats at home.
