Chelsea have confirmed that Callum Hudson-Odoi has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Blues’ entire first team and coaching staff are now to self-isolate after the result was announced on Thursday night.
It is expected that their game against Aston Villa on Saturday will now be postponed.
Despite the positive test, Chelsea say the 19-year-old was “doing well”.
The news comes after Arsenal announced on Thursday evening, that manager Mikel Arteta had also tested positive for Covid-19, as football faces a crisis over the deadly virus.
Arsenal’s scheduled visit to Brighton on Saturday has already been postponed.
