Covid-19: Lagos confirms 15 new cases, as toll rises to 276


Prof. Akin Abayomi, Commissioner for Health, Lagos State has confirmed fifteen new cases of coronavirus.

Nigeria had recorded 22 new cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 276.

And on Thursday, Prof. Abayomi confirmed in a tweet that “Twenty-two new cases of COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 15 in Lagos, 4 in the FCT, 2 in Bauchi, 1 in Edo,” NCDC tweeted.

Confirming the development, Prof Abayomi on Twitter said “Update as at 8 April, 2020.

“Lagos Confirms 15 new cases of #COVID19.

“The 15 new cases brings the total number of confirmed #COVID19 cases to 145 Practice #SocialDistancingNow to stop the chain of #COVID19 transmission.

“Let’s #TakeResponsibility #ForAGreaterLagos.”
