Vice-President Speaks On Receiving N4bn from Ibrahim Magu

Nigerians vice president camp, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has reacted to social media news claiming the embattled boss of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu gave N4bn from his alleged loot to the vice president.

Mr. Laoulu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on his verified Twitter account on Wednesday night, said Osinbajo never received  such amount of Money from Magu.

He described the news making rounds on social media about Osinbajo’s alleged involvement in the fraud and corruption case as nothing but lies.

The spokesperson for the Vice President added that the news was peddled by those who are out to mislead the public and discredit the reputation of Prof. Osinbajo.

He wrote: Inundated by wide circulation of Fake News about VP’s purported involvement in some EFCC recovery billions, pls rest assured they’re all LIES: calculated to confuse and concocted to smear Prof. Osinbajo’s image. The VP has’nt & will never be involved in any such shady activities.

It will be recalled Magu is facing a presidential investigative panel headed by Justice Ayo Salami over allegations of financial recklessness, gross misconduct and abuse of office levelled against him by Abubakar Malami, Nigeria’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice.
