Ondo State Governor and All Progressive Congress candidate for governorship in the state, Rotimi Akeredolu, noted that the result of the upcoming state election will decide the chances of the South-West in the presidency in 2023.
This was claimed by the candidate for governorship of the APC after mobilizing traditional rulers to meet with Bola Tinubu.
This is coming after he commissioned the Revenue House to mark his second term kick-off.
While the former Lagos State Governor has yet to confirm his presidential involvement, it is assumed that the APC chief is targeting the presidency in 2023.
While speaking about 2023 presidential election, Akeredolu noted that Ondo State election has a major role in the general election.
“The October 10 election in Ondo State is not about Akeredolu but the future of Ondo and entire Yoruba nation. Whatever the outcome will be shall determine our seriousness in the quest for the 2023 presidency,” the governor said.
