No new contract for Rakitic, no plan to sell him what will happen then?
Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic deal will expire in 2021 and the 30 year old man said last month that he would stay at Camp Nou amid reports suggesting the signing of Ajax’s Frenkie de Jong could force the club to sell a big-name midfielder.
But currently, ESPN FC reports the club has not declared any intention to extend his stay nor are they ready to cash in on him, but may willing should any plan comes up on that.
PSG tried signing the Croatia international last year at a transfer fee of €80 million but Valverde talke him off the move which led him appealed for a “gesture” from the club in the form of an improved contract.
But president Josep Maria Bartomeu said finances were not in place to renew his terms.
