Everton boss angry over Mina injury during International duty.

Marco Silva is fumed over Colombia after they ignore their advice on Yerry Mina which led to the centre back picking a hamstring injury in the International tie against South Korea.

Mina featured 90 minutes during their 1-0 win over Japan last Friday and in the first half of their 2-1 defeat by South Korea where his was sub due to injury.

And boss Silva said the club informed the Colombia about using the young man in chain two games;

“We knew it could be a risk for him to play the two matches,”  “We communicated this to them but we cannot control their decisions.

“We advised them that it was a risk to play him in two matches in a short period. They decided and unfortunately for us and for Yerry he took the injury.”

Yerry Mina moved to the Merseyside in August and has been restricted to nine league starts due to a persistent foot injury.

”He’s not out for the season,”

“Let’s see how many weeks it will be but I expect Mina to be playing in a blue shirt again before the end of the season.

“It hasn’t been an easy season for him since he joined the club, he’s had some unlucky moments and some bad injuries,Silva added.
