Liverpool are reportedly set to join race in signing Silas Wamangituka after his impressive performances from Ligue 2 club, Paris FC this summer.
Scouts from Jurgen klopp’s side, Liverpool and Barcelona have been watching the 19-year-old amangituka,according to reports in France.
The 19 year-old, has scored eight goals and provided one assist in 24 appearances to help Paris FC in their quest for promotion.
But Get French Football News,reports that Liverpool could have a battle on their hands with Paris FC keen to keep hold of Wamangituka, while Newcastle and Fiorentina are also showing interest in him.
Paris FC Assistant Manager Stéphane Gilli has said that his move will only be determined by the club’s director of football when asked specifically about interest from Liverpool and Barcelona in Wamangituka,
‘Obviously it is the director of football who will be managing that situation, but clearly we would like to keep hold of him.
‘It is true that there are a lot of scouts at the stadium every week, those clubs included, and many others.
‘It is up to the club, the player and his agent to make the right choices. We want him to stay, but there is always that financial aspect, and he is a player who has a massive potential.
‘He is a great lad who works hard though, and all this interest around him has not changed him. His mindset and behaviour have been very good.”
‘We had originally taken him on trial so he could play for the reserves, but after 10 days we went to the club president and told him we had to sign him, because he has a lot of talent and the potential go very far.
‘He has worked hard and made the most of his chances when we had problems offensively and our other options were not performing well.
‘There are areas to improve, notably how he plays without the ball and his positioning, so there is still a lot to learn. But in terms of intrinsic attributes, he is a player who pretty much has it all – he is quick and is good technically,
However,Klopp is also believed to be seeking a reunion with Bayern Munich goal machine who played under the Liverpool boss at Borussia Dortmund,Robert Lewandowski.
