Guardiola disagrees with Gundogan comment on defeat by Spurs



Man City boss, Pep Guardiola in a press briefing disagrees with his midfielder Ilkay Gundogan on the comment the club is was too nervous during their tie with spurs which resulted to wrong decisions after they missed a shocking penalty chance during their 1-0 defeat by Tottenham in the Champions League quarter-finals first leg.

According to Gundogan,City were too nervous in the Champions League and also always make the wrong decisions.

The Germany international claimed City’s reaction to their penalty miss was not that of a big team.

”I don’t agree with him, absolutely not,

”In the second half it was under control. Our game at Tottenham was much better than Schalke. Sergio reacted incredibly well to the penalty, the team was mentally strong.”

On injury updates, Guardiola said Oleksandr Zinchenko and Bernardo Silva are both a doubt they will be available for the clash against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

”They are feeling better but I don’t know if they are going to be fit for Sunday,

Guardiola is however wary of the threat posed by Crystal Palace, who produced a shocking 3-2 win at the Etihad last year

”They are really well organized and they have players up front who can do actions one v one, three v three,.

”We have six games left and we’re going to prepare well,Guardiola said.
