Chelsea has sent out a monitoring team to scout on striker Alexander Isak, the Mirror reports.
Isak 19, labeled as new Zlatan Ibrahimovic’, is currently on loan at Willem II from Borussia Dortmund. Isak has attracted the attention of a handful of top European sides, including Real Madrid, since his January loan move to the Netherlands where he has scored 12 goals in 12 matches.
However, Chelsea have been reported to be interested in signing the young forward as they debate whether to make current striker Gonzalo Higuain’s loan move permanent in the summer.
Isak looks like he could become a top striker in the future having attracted a hug surprising fee of £14 million in 2017 at the age of just 17 years old when Borussia Dortmund signed himhe’s beginning to show why he was valued at that price.
His appearances were limited at the German club before being loan to Willem II, but with Marco Reus having to spend time playing as a false nine at times this year, it seems like Dortmund could use an additional forward in their squad next season and Alexander Isak has a greater chance to experience more games.
