Tottenham will be looking forward to making a possible move for Lazio central defender, Luiz Felipe this summer to replace Toby Alderweireld when he leaves.
Alderweireld’s future at the club appears uncertain and the has already sent out scouts on a mission to have him replaced with Lazio central defender, Luiz Felipe standing top on the wish list.
The 22-year-old Brazilian has an Italian passport and was offered the chance to play for Italy’s U21s but he turned down to wait a call-up to Brazil’s national side.
Spurs also like Danish defender Joachim Andersen at Sampdoria and Everton’s Michael Keane but both are rated in the £50m bracket. By comparison, Felipe is likely to cost around £17m if they proceed.
Alderweireld has a £25m clause in his contract that is active from the start of this summer’s transfer window up to the final two weeks but spurs have had no approaches for the Belgian so far.
Keen to add new faces, they have Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon, Jack Grealish of Aston Villa and Bournemouth’s David Brooks still on their radar.
With Real Madrid and Inter Milan waiting to sign Christian Eriksen, offers for Serge Aurier, Vincent Janssen, Kieran Trippier and Victor Wanyama could emerge while Fernando Llorente may also leave at the end of the season.
