Man City 4-3 Spurs, Llorente header takes spurs to semi- finals.

Manchester City have bowed out of the Champions League competition this season after Spurs sailed through with away goals advantage.

Raheem Sterling had opened the score line for the home side four minutes into the game before Heung-Min Son pulled it out and added another within ten minutes of the game but Bernardo Silva immediately canceled out the South Korean’s second strike.

Sterling found the net again in the 21st minute making an interesting take back for the Guardiola’s side.

De Bruyne in worked a magic by carrying the ball forward, skipping past Wanyama as though he isn’t there, before playing in Aguero who handed the host another hopes they will prevail.

However, Sterling was denied a dramatic winner in stoppage time when Sergio Aguero was ruled offside in the build-up after a VAR check, as Fernando Llorente unorthodox finish with 17 minutes remaining ensured that Mauricio Pochettino’s side progressed to the semi-finals the first time in their history.
