Lionel Messi has lifted his 10th La Liga title with Barcelona more any other player in the club after hitting the only goal that saw Ernesto Valverde crowned Champions of the Spanish top flight.
Barcelona clinched the Spanish championship on Saturday with a narrow 1-0 victory at home against Levante when Messi came in to replace Philippe Coutinho.
The Argentina international was introduced at half-time, however, in place of Philippe Coutinho and inevitably scored the goal to secure his club the Liga crown.
And just 16 minutes of his presence, Messi drove passed two Levante defenders and fired the ball past the previously unbeatable Aitor Fernandez to mark his 34th league goal of the campaign.
It is Messi’s 24th goals in record as a substitute in La Liga, more than anyone else has managed in the 21st century.
Messi has now secured a 10th Liga title as Barcelona player to beat down record held by Andres Iniesta (9).
