What Divock Origi said after scoring late winner against Newcastle

Liverpool matchwinner, Divock Origi has reacted to his side’s 3-2 victory over Newcastle in their Premier League tie on Saturday’s night.

Divock Origi headed in a winning goal at 96th minute to ensure his side returns back top to lead in the England top-flight league race.

”When the free-kick came in I was just trying to flick it on, give it a light touch. It was a good centre by Shaq and in the end it went in so I’m super happy for the team.

“One of our main strengths is being together and working for each other, a mixture of talent and hard work.

“We showed big heart coming here against a very good team with a very good coach and we knew it was going to be a fight, especially after Barcelona. In the end we did it and it was very important for the team.

“You feel the emotion. It’s a very special season for everyone. But as a player you have to channel that feeling into the performance and in the end it worked out,Origi told BT sports after the match.
