UEFA president Speaks on Man City Champions League ban

UEFA president, Aleksander Ceferin

The UEFA president, Aleksander Ceferin, has finally spoken on the issue of Manchester City facing a potential one season ban from the Champions League competition.

A regulatory committee,have mounted intense investigations on the Premier League Champions over a series of leaks into their financial conduct published in German outlet Der Spiegel.

City may be banned from Champions League for a season according to reports if found guilty, with UEFA referring the case to Club Financial Control Body adjudicatory chamber.

And Ceferin, while speaking with the New York Times, insisted that UEFA have no favoritism when it comes to their dealings with clubs who err.

”Sometimes we forget how dirty this industry is.

”If you do it right, you don’t sell yourself.

”If you are not involved in any strange business, if you are not corrupted, then you go straight forward and be fair to anyone, said the UEFA president .
