Spanish giants,Barcelona have agreed a €70m swoop for Matthijs De Ligt from Ajax this summer.
The Catalans have been holding talks with Matthijs De Ligt’s representatives over times and the new report claims they have reached an agreement in the last 24 hours.
Barca sped up their pursuit after reports earlier suggested English clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United are also showing interest in the Dutchman.
Interest in reuniting with Ajax teammate Frankie De Jong at Camp Nou could further give the Laliga Champions an advantage over Manchester United to have the young star. Barcelona moved in the clear to get their man after Liverpool and Manchester United decided to take themselves out of the race altogether.
However, Barcelona will pay around €70m to sign him as there are suggestions his agent Mino Raiola is trying to raise the price in a bid to raise his commission.
