Ole decides on new United no.1 after De Gea rejected offer for extension.
Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has ruled out plan to hunt a replacement for David de Gea who has refused to accept any offer below his £350,000-a-week demand, according to Daily Mai.
The Spaniard has only one year left to run on his current deal, but has turned down bid to remain at the club after United triggered an extension.
And United instead of losing the 28-year-old for nothing in a year’s time, could decide to cash for around £60m and put the funds towards this summer’s big rebuild.
However, a new goalkeeper will not be on Solskjaer’s wish list if De Gea leaves and he will instead promote Sergio Romero as the new United no.1
Several replacements, with Ajax keeper Andre Onana, Barcelona’s Jasper Cillessen and Everton shot-stopper Jordan Pickford has been identified.
But Solskjaer has decided to stick with Romero and focus on strengthening other areas of the team.
