Manchester United have shifted their attention to PSG’s Thomas Meunier after being priced out of a summer bid for Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Red devils have initiated talks with the Paris Saint-Germain’s Belgian right-back Meunier this week due to concerns they will be priced out of a move for Wan-Bissaka.
There have been suggestions Palace want as much as £70m to reconsider their stance on Wan-Bissaka.
But Palace can afford to stand firm safe in the knowledge that United are not the only interested party. Manchester City and Everton are also keen on the 21 year-old.
Meunier, 27, has just one year left on his PSG contract and is likely to cost around £25m.
On his future, Meunier, said: ‘The club and management know, I would like to finish my contract at PSG or why not extend it?
”If this is done, so much the better and if that is not done, we will see what is possible and we will go elsewhere.
”At the level of rumours, I am quoted everywhere. Only beautiful clubs come out;Manchester United, Juve, Dortmund, these are just exceptional clubs.’
