Pochettino targets Champions League Trophy not a decision on future amidst Madrid link.

Mauricio Pochettino is focused on preparing his side for the Champions League final against Liverpool and not coaching Real Madrid at the moment.

At the Wanda Metropolitano, where him and his team are having training, the Argentine  was asked about the link between him and Real Madrid and his response dropped the mic.

“I’ve no other goals than to train Tottenham,” Pochettino said to Radio MARCA and Cope’s El Partidazo.

“I don’t dare to dream about the long-term, football will put you where you deserve to be.”

Spurs are going to be training at Los Blancos’ Valdebebas training ground, but Pochettino has revealed an interesting request he was denied when making arrangements for where they would practice.

“We will train at Valdebebas, but we won’t sleep there,” added Pochettino.

“We asked, but Florentino [Perez] did not let us. Florentino would say, ‘if you want to train Madrid, then you can sleep there.'”
