Inter Milan has announced sack of Luciano Spalletti as Head Coach of the First Team despite sealing two consecutive Champions League qualifications.
The club confirmed this in an official statement stating;
”The Club wishes to thank Spalletti for his work and the results achieved together.”
The 60-year-old moved to San Siro from Roma in the summer of 2017 and led the Nerazzurri to successive Champions League qualifications their first in seven years but has failed to win any silverware in his two seasons with the Beneamata.
However, his exit means an open door to former Chelsea manager Antonie Conte linked, with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting his appointment will be formalized on Friday.
