UEFA Nations League: Netherlands vs England full-time ends in 1-1 draw as VAR rules out Lingard goal.
The UEFA Nations League semi-finals between Netherlands and England just prolongs to extra time after they fought on to end 97 minutes play time in 1-1 draw.
Marcus Rashford put England ahead with a penalty after he was fouled by Matthijs de Ligt. But the Netherlands controlled most of the game until De Ligt then powered in a header to equalise.
Substitute Jesse Lingard thought he’d won it by capping a brilliant flowing move but VAR said he was offside. And then England had to endure more VAR drama as a handball claim against Ben Chilwell was eventually waved away.
Game ended 1-1 after 97 minutes of play to be continued in the extras.
Winner tonight will join Portugal in the finals while loser will have to fight with Switzaland for a third place.
