Napoli has rejected Atletico Madrid’s €18m bid to sign their right-back ,Elseid Hysaj, after the player admitted he’s in no rush to leave,ESPN reports.
The report claims Rojiblancos offered €18m for the Albania international, but Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has rejected it as he claimed it to be below the player’s worth.
Hysaj’s agent recently confirmed that the defender was looking to leave the club in the summer, stating the Spanish side is one of many teams interested in his signature.
But while on international duty for the Euro 2020 qualifiers, Hysaj seemed to imply an exit was not guaranteed.
“I am not annoyed by the rumours going around. I have another two years on my contract with Napoli and right now I am focused on international football, then I’ll have a vacation.”
Elseid Hysaj 25,who joined Napoli from Empoli in 2015 for €5m has made 170 appearances during his time at the Stadio San Paolo.
