There are reports suggesting that Manchester United are demanding Juventus to offer Douglas Costa as part of the deal to sign Paul Pogba but the player has admitted the desire to remain at the club as he still has three years left on his deal.
The 2018 world cup winner is openly ready to leave United, stating the desire for new experience “I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else. I am thinking of this: to have a new challenge somewhere else.”with particular interest in Real Madrid.
But Maurizio Sarri on his arrival at Juventus wants to bring Pogba back to Turin this summer with United plotting a swap with Costa for their midfield man.
However, Costa appeared to play down the swap suggestions by insisting he is ‘certain’ he will still be playing for Juventus next season, “I don’t know Sarri personally, but I saw the work he did for Napoli. He had a fantastic season and I think we’ll do great things together. I have three years left on my contract and I’m certain that I will stay in Turin. Now it’s a new era as we have a new coach”,Douglas Costa added.
