Michael Owen predicts results of Watford vs Liverpool, Tottenham vs Chelsea and others

Former Premier League and La Liga star, Michael Owen has predicted Chelsea to play a draw with Tottenham Hotspur when both teams clash at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening in the Premier League fixture.

He also tipped Liverpool to defeat Watford on Saturday evening in an away Premier League fixture.

Owen, however, predicted that Burnley will play a draw with Newcastle United at Turf Moor on Monday night.

Owen told BetVictor: “None of Spurs’ last 16 PL games has finished in a draw.

“But I think it will be honours even when Chelsea visit Wembley in, arguably, the game of the weekend.

“Chelsea’s title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool have already won at Wembley this season.

“But I feel the hosts will get a draw in what promises to be a feisty London derby.”

On the Watford game against Liverpool, Owen said: “Watford are a funny team, they can beat anyone on their day and they’re having a really strong season.

“Seventh in the league so far and this fixture last season produced a lot of goals and I think they’ll be a few again.

“Of course I’m going for a Liverpool win, they’re in decent form, fighting for that Premier League crown so I’m going to go for a 2-1 away win for the Reds.”

Commenting on the Burnley game against Newcastle United, Owen said: “Burnley have only won one of their last eight home league games and I don’t believe we will see many goals in the Monday night fixture.

“I always believed United were in a false position in the table in the early weeks of the season and the Magpies have won their last couple of league games. A point at Turf Moor wouldn’t be the worst result in the world.

“One interesting stat – United have played their last 12 games on a Monday night away from home (L11 W1). They are due a draw!”

The kick-off time for Tottenham vs Chelsea and Watford vs Liverpool game is 4pm, while that of Burnley vs Newcastle United is 9pm.
