Alexis Sanchez has blamed his Manchester United poor performances to lack of enough game opportunities.
The Chile International has only scored once since Ole Gunnar Solsjkajer took over, sparking speculations he could be on his way out as the club plans to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
But the ex-Gunners star has become a star man with the national team, scoring two goals in the ongoing Copa America tournament in Brazil.
“I have always had the enthusiasm to play but in England. I’ve been given few opportunities lately,” he said following Chile’s 2-1 win over Ecuador in Bahia, Brazil.
“But I’m relaxed because representing your country is the most beautiful thing there is,” he added.
Sanchez has only spent 18 months at United, with injuries and inconsistencies affecting his progress.
Although the club are willing to let him leave, his £500,000-a-week wages are reported to be a major problem as he continues to draw interest from Inter Milan and Napoli.
