Manchester United have successfully completed signing of Spanish, wonder-kid Mateo Mejia from Real Zaragoza for a transfer fee of £600,000,The Sun reports.
Mateo Mejia is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer second signing of the summer he had young Swansea winger Daniel James joined the club early this month.
Mejia’s signing is in accordance with United’s new signing policy in recruiting promising youngsters to progress through the club’s ranks.
However, work is underway to seal a big-money move for Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and the defender could move to Old Trafford in a deal worth around £55million as negotiations continues.
James and Wan Bissaka when signed will go straight into the first-team reckoning while Mejia will have to impress in the club’s youth ranks to earn his first-team opportunity.
The club is looking for a serious revamp to the team after floundering in last season where they finished sixth in the league log.
