Chelsea FC has offered club’s legend and Derby County manager, Frank Lampard a three-year-contract to take over managerial role at Stamford Bridge after Maurizio Sarri left for Juventus.
A transfer expert and sport journalist, Nicolo Schira,working Gazzetta dello Sport made this known on Tuesday through his official Twitter page, where he wrote;
”All confirmed! #DerbyCounty have granted permission for #Chelsea to speak to Frank #Lampard.
”He will be the new manager of #Blues and he will sign a contract until 2022. #transfers #CFC.”
The ex-midfielder man has long been tipped to replace Sarri following his departure to Italy.
The Chelsea legend has only been Derby manager for a season and narrowly missed out of securing promotion to the Premier League in his first campaign.
Lampard while at Derby helped them to the Championship play-off final at Wembley, where they lost Aston Villa.
