United back out in race for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire

Manchester United have reportedly withdrawn interest in Leicester City defender Harry Maguire following player’s price hike.

The England international has been United’s target for over 12 months but the club failed to make a deal with the Foxes 12 months ago when Jose Mourinho was in charge.

However more difficulties have set in as reports claims Leicester will demand add-ons to any fee that would push it up the £100 million mark.

United have backed out, leaving the way clear for Manchester City to conclude a deal, unless they also refuse to bow to Leicester’s demands.

Maguire still having four-year deal left at the King Power stadium, means Leicester are in a strong position and will only let him go on their terms.

The Red devils are closing in on a deal for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who will cost £50 million, and do not believe Maguire is worth double that.
