Milan are readying a €40m in bid to try the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, after the Serie A club backed out of the Europa League games next season.
Reports from Italian outlets, Corriere della Sera and La Repubblica, says the Rossoneri have set their sights on the Spanish U21 starlet and are willing to spend €40m for his services.
Milan are little more leeway regarding their Financial Fair Play violations after they agreed to miss out on European competition this coming season and could potentially splash the cash on the 22-year-old.
Ceballos joined Real Madrid on a transfer fee of €16.5m in 2017, but has failed to earn a regular starting place during his spell at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Elliot Management will end the 2018-2019 financial year between €90m-€100m in the red, and they will have to get that down to €30m by next season.
The Italian club are said not to be in hurry to cash in on their asset Gianluigi Donnarumma, who despite Paris Saint-Germain desperation, and they could potentially be able to make at least one big money signing this summer.
