Arsenal has considered a £68million transfer bid to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl, according to reports.
The 23-year-old has struggled to nail down a regular starting place for the Bundesliga leaders this season, featuring just six times.
And Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen on offering the German, who has been tracked by Manchester City earlier on the Premier League experience.
German publication Bild reports that the Gunners would have to pay a £68million fee for Weigl’s services.
Weigl could fill the void left by Ramsey as a replacement when he departs Arsenal next season.
Despite his career stuttering in recent months, the Germany international has impressed during his time with Dortmund, making 129 appearances.
