Breaking: Bayern legend Arjen Robben retires at 35

Arjen Robben as he prepares for final games at BayernBayern Munich legend Arjen Robben has announced his retirement from professional football.

Robben has had a wonderful career which saw him win league titles in Holland, England, Spain and Germany.

The 35-year-old man scored the winning goal in the 2012-13 UEFA Champions League final and reached the 2010 World Cup final with the Netherlands.

In his last 10 seasons at Bayern Munich, Robben lifted eight Bundesliga titles as well as the UCL trophy with the Bavarian giants. During his final home game for Bayern sent an emotional farewell with a goal alongside fellow wing-wizard Franck Ribery, who also left the club at the end of the 2018-19 Bundesliga season.

Arjen Robben has played a total of 602 matches for Chelsea, Real Madrid & Bayern, scoring 209 and assisting 158 as well as 96 games for his Home Country Netherlands scoring 37.
