Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino has asked the club’s chiefs to work in signing Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso this summer.
The European Champions 2018/19 season runner up are in the market for more shopping having landed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon on Tuesday.
Diario de Sevilla suggests that Pochettino is desperate to add Lo Celso to his squad before the transfer window shuts next month, but Betis are playing hardball in discussions over a fee.
The Argentina international would cost around ÂŁ67m, roughly double what Spurs were originally willing to pay.
However,with pressure from Pochettino, chairman Daniel Levy is now expected to return with an improved offer.
