Liverpool are reportedly readying an offer of £45m for signing of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos,Marca reports.
Ceballos has been the Reds long-time target but the club were against making a bid for him due to Real Madrid’s negotiation demands.
According to Marca, Real Madrid wants a buyback clause in the deal to take Ceballos to Liverpool believing that the Spain Under-21 international has the potential of leading their midfield despite having limited first team opportunities.
The buyback clause will allow Real Madrid part company with the midfielder on a £45m fee before re-signing him for a good price, should Dani Ceballos develop.
Liverpool saw this as a very little protection in terms of keeping hold of the player and earning good money for him in the future.
But Marca, via SportWitness, is now reporting that Liverpool have had a change of plan and are willing to go for him even if it means paying higher than the £45 million.
