Liverpool are reportedly in the forefront to to have Fulham’s teenage midfielder Harvey Elliott signature,according to Sky Sports News.
Elliott,16,who is seen as the youngest Premier League player, has caught the eyes of top European clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid and RB Leipzig and the latest update has it that European champions Liverpool are the favorites for his service after his youth contract expired in June.
He has already rejected a new contract at Craven Cottage and has not been named in the club’s new intake of scholars.
And according to reports by Sky Sports, Elliott is just a step away from Liverpool’s first team, despite FA rules barring U17s from signing professional deals.
On his worth, the Reds are expected to negotiate a compensation package with Fulham as the England U17 international is highly-prized.
