Has Arsenal transfer budget increased? Emery in the ‘big buy bang’


Emery said after winning Valencia in first leg Manager, Unai Emery has assured club supporters club chiefs are working up Arsenal transfer budget to sign ‘big, expensive’ players with four new faces hoping to arrive Emirate Satdium soon.

The Gunners boss has so far secured on signature this summer, 18 year-old Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli for £6m from Ituano.

And are sleepless for Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha and Celtic’s Kieran Tierney despite having their initial bids rejected,battling north London rivals Tottenham for both St Etienne defender William Saliba and to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos on loan.

But with this ,Emery said is hopeful big signings will happen;

”We are speaking about the big players because we are starting thinking about our team our squad now.

”We have very good players and very good young players who can progress to produce a big performance for us and other players can come here to help us.

”We need really that they will come with a big performance and also our target is to achieve three, four players to really improve our team and squad now.

”We are being very, very demanding and we are also first speaking about the possibility to sign very big players, very expensive and the first player in our list is our first target and after if we cannot have that the second but thinking every time that they are going to improve our team.

”We are taking the market with patience and calm. We need to take the best players in some positions, really being demanding of ourselves for these players.

”Really I can say to our supporters we are going to make a very good team with the players there now and three or four players who can help us in a few days.’
