Ex-Reds star,Sturridge gets six weeks ban with a £75,000 fine for breach of betting rules


Daniel SturridgeFormer Liverpool star,Daniel Sturridge has bagged six weeks ban with a £75,000 fine after being found guilty for breach of FA betting rules from his loan move to West Bromwich Albion in January.

His case has since been under a a lengthy investigation by FA before announcing a misconduct charge last November and the verdict was delivered on Thursday afternoon.

Offences regarding betting have always landed many stars in heavy sanctions.

Joey Barton was last year banned for 18 months after accepting an FA charge relating to 1,260 bets over 10 years.
