Real Madrid new recruit Rodrygo has expressed satisfaction after making a debut.
The Spanish club kicked off their 2019/20 pre-season with a 3-1 defeat versus Bayern Munich in their International Champions Cup opener on Saturday night at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
And the 18-year-old Brazilian who assumed freekick duties and rocketed in a right-footer into the top right corner of the net to make it 3-1 said;
“Playing for Real Madrid is a massive responsibility, I’m pleased to have got a goal”, stated Rodrygo.
“I’m really happy to have pulled on the Real Madrid shirt, regardless of the result. I’m really happy at having scored. Playing for Real Madrid is a massive responsibility, but I have to be ready at all times and I’ll always continue to work hard”.
”What I’ve been most surprised by are the training sessions, we’re talking about the best players in the world and I’m delighted to be playing with them. Some new players have come in and we’ve got to get up to speed and work with the whole team, that’s the most important thing”.
