LaLiga President, Javier Tebas has said the Spanish football regulatory body has the mechanism in place to resolve transfer in a situation where both parties are not satisfied.
Atletico Madrid had made a statement demanding a higher payment than €120m euros that Barcelona should pay €80m more for new signing Antoine Griezmann, to make it €200m, after the Catalans completed a move for the Frenchman.
The Spanish club presented a letter to LaLiga in which they were dissatisfied and that the amount paid did not satisfy their relationship with Griezmann and also informed the RFEF and the labor court for breach of contract.
Tebas confirmed the request of Atletico in the program transistor Onda Cero saying; “Atletico submitted a paper and questioned whether we should give the license to Barcelona from Griezmann”.
The LaLiga president stressed that “there is the ability to block a player’s transfer”, adding that LaLiga “has put in place a mechanism to resolve the situation.”
