Manchester United have seen their efforts to sign Harry Maguire in shambles as they seem unwilling to spend £90m on the England centre-half.
The club’s executive vice-chairman,Woodward will not be joining Manchester United’s pre-season tour of Asia. He will stay home with Matt Judge, the head of corporate development, as they bid to bolster Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad in addition to overseeing potential outgoings.
The Red devils have made two bids for Maguire which fell under Leicester’s £90m valuation for their player.
Although the club are not ready to walk away from a deal, it is thought they could pursue cheaper alternatives if talks over Maguire collapse.
