James RodriguezReal Madrid have reportedly taken a decision which will see James Rodriguez remain at the Spanish club after Marco Asensio picked a serious knee injury during their friendly game against Arsenal.

James had been targeted by both Napoli and Atletico Madrid, but the reliable El Chiringuito claims Los Blancos are no longer prepared to part with the midfielder.

The report comes after Asensio had had ruptured not only the ACL in his left knee but also his external meniscus, effectively ending his season before it had even started.

Meanwhile, Marca had earlier reported Gareth Bale is on his way to Jiangsu Suning, the Colombian’s teammate having agreed a €22m-a-season contract with Inter’s sister club.
